A New Familiar

I’m going on four weeks here in Lilongwe, Malawi and really enjoying it. At first I was a little hard getting used to not always having running water and limited cooking supplies but the people we have met and relationships we are making are well worth only taking a shower once a week 🙂

So far we have taught classes at an orphanage and spent time worshiping and sharing stories with a group of widows. Also spending time ministering at some local churches that are apart of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Malawi.

God has really been revealing a lot of things that I have never seen or thought before and I’m steadily taking it all in. It’s amazing how many little things we take for granted back home that are considered a luxury here.

My main focus right now is really taking advantage of the time I have to grow in my relationship with Christ. We get so caught up in little things back home we forget to really set time aside to get into the word and listen to God. Also really reflecting and asking yourself, am I glorifying God in everything I’m doing?

I’m so blessed to be here and have this experience and so thankful for everyone who helped get me here, zikomo cuambidi! (thank you very much in chachewa)
