“Lord, you are not an elephant don't let me become an elephant."

WHAT?!?
Yep, God is not an elephant, BECAUSE elephants never forget. But God, He forgets! Over and over we are told that God forgets our sins; Jesus bore our sins on the cross so that we mat be forgiven.
So what does that mean for me?
That means that, like God, I should forgive & forget. That means I shouldn't hold someone's past against them. And personally, for me, it means I need to forgive myself; that I need to forget who I was in the past.
Forgiving myself; forgetting my past… that has come up more than once this week. I have a tendency to hold on to the past, but throughout the week people I had never talked to before were praying that I surrender my past to Him. That I can forget who I was and just be who I am.
So my prayer today… That I don't become an elephant; that I can forgive and forget.
