I’m Not Shaking, I’m Not Letting Go

Maureen.

She is a beautiful older woman here in Malawi. Our first week of being here, her daughter was in the hospital and we prayed for her, she was healed.

The other day she came up to us because she wanted prayer to be closer and stronger in her relationship with Christ. We prayed for her. She went stiff. Something inside of her didn’t want us touching her.

Her arms were locked and completely stiff, her hands were bent in an unnatural position. She was not in control. We didn’t let go. Everything inside of me was telling me to run, that I wasn’t ready for this.

I clung to her. I refused to let go and I prayed. I prayed harder than I ever have before. I called on God, He gave me courage. He gave me courage to face this. He gave me power to help her.

In the peak of the battle, God made His presence known. People began speaking in tongues and in that moment, you could feel the spiritual battle happening. I clung to this woman, refusing to let go, refusing to stop praying. I prayed without ceasing, my team united as one to lift each other and this woman up calling on God to set her free.

I poured prayers of blessings out upon her and claimed her freedom through the blood of Jesus Christ. The battle continued and in the end, Maureen was set free. She was set free from the hold Satan had on her.

After the chains were broken, Maureen’s arms reached for the Heavens, her fragile body finally relaxing. She had sweat pouring down her face and neck. I had tears pouring down mine. That place was shaken. Hell was shaken. Satan lost the battle. She is free.

God is moving. Things are being put into motion and this is only the beginning. He is using our team for so many incredible things. Our team is strong and united because of Christ. Satan lost at the cross. Victory is already proclaimed for us.

The match has been lit, this spark is now a flame and the passion we have to show others the love of Christ is fueling this flame. It’s a flame that can never be put out. We are united as one. I cannot wait to see what plans Christ has for us throughout these next few months.

These girls are more than just my teammates, they are my sisters.

One body, one love.
