Roaring Peace

THE TIME HAS COME EVERYONE!! I am currently sitting in the Amsterdam airport awaiting my departure to Kenya. So, I'm finally on my way into the great unknown! And Literally I mean the unknown: I have no clue what God has in store for me on this African adventure nor do I want to hold expectations for what His plan for me is. But whatever it is, I know it is better than ANYTHING I have planned for myself.

This past week at training camp I have been completely awestruck by the Glory of The Lord!! There are so many stories to tell about all the excitement from just the past 5 days, but to spare your eyes I'll just describe the greatest highlight:

Drum roll please…..

I LEAD WORSHIP WITH A WORSHIP TEAM!! Seriously WHAT?! I have never in my life been involved in a worship team, let alone lead a group of 100 people to express their love of God through music. I play a little ukulele…. a LITTLE (literally a self taught youtube ukulele student) and I brought it along on this trip just fer shiggles and the occasional jam sesh, but to be asked to play it on a stage and belt out singing was not my intention. The whole experience was totally and completely an act of God. And I was a part of it!

I have never in my life felt so out of my comfort zone, but at the same time know that leading worship is exactly where I needed to be.

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God" (Matthew 8:5)

And through the pure desire to love Him and follow Him, we witnessed God's almighty power. Because the energizing peace that filled that room friday night is undoubtedly the work of The Lord. And let me remind you this is ONLY training camp! God is SOOO GOOD and I cannot wait to see what he has planned for me and my team in Africa.

"The Lion of Judah is thundering deep
Roarin' down the walls of fear in me
and from deep inside this battle cry
YOU ROAR"
