14. Getting “Pee Your Pants Excited” over mexican food, pizza, and ice cream.. ‘Murica
13. Opening the bathroom door on one of your teammates… twice, same girl
12. Doing your laundry once within an entire month when you only have one week worth of clothes
11. Going days without a shower and not even questioning it
10. Killing cockroaches.. and the screaming that goes along with it
9. Rice, potatoes, and starches OH MY!
8. Being crammed into a mini-bus meant for 12 people packed with at least 20 people
7. Watching Madea on a Mac in the middle of a room during a storm on busted speakers
6. Never having water or electricity when you need it.. ever
5. Aggressive salespeople do not take hints, even when you say NO at least 15 times
4. Personal space… what is that? There is no such thing here
3. Mosquitoes.. attacking all day, nonstop, they are ruthless
2. Kids trying to rub my tattoos off because they think I draw them on everyday
1. Hearing “Muzungu, hi!” everywhere we go (Muzungu means white person)
These are all things that I honestly wouldn’t trade for the world.. Okay, well I could easily live without mosquitoes but anyways. I truly love these people and my team so much and the memories that go along with each thing on the list.
I will cherish these memories for the rest of my life. I cannot express to you just how much these people mean to me.
God has blessed me beyond all measure.
I cannot wait to see what Tanzania holds.
