As the count down gets into single digits I find my heart beating a little faster. The excitement and nerves are at an all time high. As I sit here typing this I feel Gods tug on my heart already, I went into church today knowing what it would be about, knowing that my pastor would bring up fasting. Twenty days until I leave for Africa! Wow! How time flies. God has been blessing me abundantly through this Christmas season with my family. How sweet our time has been before I leave! Our God is a God of abundant love and he is teaching me to love like him. My prayer for this trip is to be stretched in new ways and to lean into The Lord as never before. God is going to use my team in a mighty way and he will use the people we come in contact with to change us forever. He knows the plans he has for us! They are plans to prosper us and not to harm us.
